Registration for the Holiday Party and Officer Elections is Now Open
Winter weather is here again, and we have been asked again at the request of our local fire departments to:
Assist them by clearing no less than 3' feet around a fire hydrant by your property, home, or business after every snowstorm. If you are able to and safely can do so.
Remember during an Emergency Every Second Counts- Minutes can be / are wasted fighting a fire if the firefighters have to stop, find, and shovel out a fire hydrant.
Our Fire Departments would also like to remind residents to test their carbon monoxide (CO) detectors and keep dryer, furnace, and other exhaust vents and meters/shut offs (such as gas, electric, and water) clear of snow as well.
Lastly, please make sure you keep your mailbox area cleaned out for the postal carriers / Emergency Services, so they (Emergency Services) can read the address number in the case of an Emergency.
Again, if you are able to and safely can do so.
Remember, we are the Brotherhood of Cheerful Service.
STAY SAFE and help not only your local Fire Department, but your neighbors as well.
Yours in Brotherhood,
Heron Man
